The show is about cooking food.
I don’t know what to write????
I have watched 6 episodes of this anime now and each episode follows a basic formula:
- What do you want to cook?
- Let’s cook this.
- We managed to cook it.
The show is cute and has an energy to it; I just wish it had more substance outside that formula.
O_O There really isn’t anything to comment on!
Come on list give me something random: “The Lost Village” *after watching *. . . what happened?
This is about people (I think they are a cult, the show doesn’t really make it clear) going to a lost village to restart their lives.
They mention genesis and the ark at one point.
My guess would be that they all get banished to a barren land and get killed for being sinners (why ells mention “Noah’s ark” and “The garden of eden”).
The first episode is dedicated to telling you who all the people on the bus are…. By roll call all their names…..for over 3 minutes.
Do you know what the sad thing is? I can’t remember any of them.
You might be asking: What happened in the episode? Padding! Lots and lots of padding!
They played bus games and sang a song about an unlucky hippo, THE END…..and the driver tried to kill them, but that didn’t lead anywhere.
This is about a class orchestra that enters a contests.
The show is completely character driven due to the ending being inevitable no matter what happens during the show….is that good thing?? There is a little conflict for 2-3 episode and then back to nothing for the rest of the show.
I know this is a wired way of describing a show but, this feels likes other scale twin of k-on.
*They are both made by Kyoto Animation (anime fan 101: learn about kyoani )*
- k-on = skims the music and concentrates on the girls friendship/bond.
- Sound! Euphonium = skims the friendship and concentrates on the music.
For a show that is character driven there is a real lack of “characters” to drive it along. The show doesn’t lack in people it could use to move an interesting side story….it just that I really wouldn’t care any of them, (excluding the girl in the image above) they are all clearly copy paste clones that are there just to fill the class.
If I had to guess it’s final score I would say above average.
My score 6/10
It was heavily dragged down by the lack of chemistry the students had and the constant pretending that the show had a story when it really didn’t have one.
This is only small rant but, it’s something that has been getting under my skin for some time now:
I can’t stand anime fans who insist on trying to pronounce an anime title when there is no need to.
I’m taking about anime that have an official English names and these people still refuse to use it (these names are in the openings of original broadcast).
Another one that gets under my skin is when you can clearly hear what English word they are trying to say in the sub; people insist on still pronouncing that way because in there head they believe it’s the correct way.
E.g. cheese = チーズ chi-zu
It’s written Katakana, it’s clearly just meant to be cheese.
O-0 Another example:
“Little Witch Academia” Which is clearly = Little Witch Academy
Y_Y This is even more annoying because the name reads
リト ルウィッチ アカデミア
Ri-to ru-u-i-tsu-chi a-ka-de-mi-a
So there is no excuse with this one.
^_^ sorry, I needed to get that off my chest.
additional: If an anime fan wants to pronounce a name because it has multiple meanings then fine, if you don’t know what them meanings are you are just being a difficult ass.
The reason a show gets a title interpreted into English is so it can be spread by “word of mouth” easier.
Insane sub fan’s complain when it gets changed but, they complain when people can’t pronounce it.
There are some anime out there where you need to be watching it with someone. T_o I’m a visual person meaning that when I get anime that is lifeless my attention will start to wonder.
If I was with DB he would join me in taking the show apart (we can watch anything when we are together).
You know everything about this anime from the title alone.
*Slowly trimming the fat from my to watch list.*
What was this anime about….I DON’T KNOW! The struggles to keep any semblance of coherent storytelling. Y_Y Excluding the killers sent after the rebels I have no idea of what the government was doing to the people inside the empire yet, by the end of the show you are expected to be happy that the people have been freed…..from what? They looked well dreed and well fed whenever you spotted them in the background.
Don’t you think it might have been good on the shows part to show slums and people struggling to pay for food (one random guy mentions it at the end). For my view point I just saw people going to watch public killings for fun along with living in really expensive houses.
You also have to love how the rebel group who say they are there to save the people never help any people in the empire throughout this entire show.
Also “People die when they are killed!” There are too many moment’s throughout this show where main leads should have died earlier.
Out of all of them the one that got deep under my skin was Tatsumi; this boy just joined a group of vigilantes and suddenly wants to take down an entire government the first day he turns up in there city. He spouts off about how they are the good guys and how they are evil and all bad things must be killed……do these people sound much better than the bad guys? What do you deem as evil and good? Do you kill someone for going against your new government? Sure they must be evil If they wanted to go against what you deemed as good.
O_O Some of the ways these “Good guys” kill people is really disturbing.
Oh, god is evil……the anime just wanted to though that in…….don’t ask why.
I think my biggest problem with this anime is that everything is way too simplified for the kind of topics they are trying to tackle. If you want to do a story about government corruption show how it affects normal people, if you want to show corrupt brain washed armies tell us what propaganda is being said and if you want to do rebel groups don’t over romanticized them.
I don’t even know how the rebels got that army at the end….and how did the people know about how the fight in the stadium went down when there was no members of the public to witness it.
let’s not forget that amazing ending where the emperor destroys his kingdom for no reason.
The show pushed and pushed it’s evil v good plot all the way into a deep pit of insanity. Even are final survivors last words is I love killing as she walks off with a new group….what am I meant to take from that? Was the group original formed to kill people for pleasure and just like the excuse of fighting evil?
The action was fun, but the story was abysmal.
2014 O_O Wow! It’s taken me a long time to finsh this anime.
good thing I still have my old 2014 score sheet on this computer (2015 onward are scored 1/500 while the 2014 are scored 1/100).
5/10 It’s average
Not good, not bad, average.
This this is an anime about girls fighting with there butts…..and sometimes there boobs. I don’t get that, why would you use your boobs to attack? I can kind of understand using the power of the butt slap but BOOBS! I guess if you slap someone with them from the side, I’M THINKING TOO MUCH ABOUT THIS!
This show takes place at a huge school dedicates to art of fighting with your butt/boobs over a pool of water……Why? I don’t doubt people would want to train in this (Even I would want to try it), what I question is: would there really be so many people want to join that a high school sized building would be required? I also question the amount of news coverage these students are getting (Am I really meant to believe they are TV famous).
I was laughing my butt off at how over the top this anime was. There is just something about the over exaggerated impacts of the butt attacks that nullifies the fan-service aspect of the show to comedy levels of absurdity.
T_T Back into my rhythm now….guess I will be watching an anime that I have been dreading for quite some time (endings need to flow too).
*This is a loophole anime because it’s meant to be 13 minutes long not 26.*
It’s about a girl obsessed with a moe boy.
I don’t tend to talk about anime that is short on this blog because they tend to be disposable candy shows that are meant to exist in there only little worlds per episode (in short: your not meant to think too deeply about how each one connects).
I understand why they put 2 episode into one, there are episode that lead into each other creating what looks to be one big story. The problem with this is that it highlights the creepy nature of are main female lead to slightly disturbing levels.
If She was male having her smell his bed sheets, steal his used straws daily while stalking him every moment to find out his likes/dislikes would equal someone you should stay far away from not find cute and endearing.
Outside that the show is harmless fluff.
I had to leave the house early because me and DB going to the big city to pick something up (I have a bad time with the internet,so I prefer to get things directly).
There will still be an anime post today (not going to loose my rhyme again).
I found out where people are getting there cheap madoka costumes from. If you want to fix them it is really easy:
- poof out the bottom . *There are a lot of lower layers below her dress*
- pull the top half of the costume closer to you. *it’s not meant to be sagging like a t shirt.*
I got to try on my first corset dress yesterday…..it was wired.
o-o My wardrobe ranges from really bland to extreme (people already think i’m strange I might as well embrace it).
What is it about: Girl gets letters from herself in the future.
Not much really happened, yet a lot happened.
If I was to talk about the interactions I would say: They are all friends and they do friend things…..that’s about it. I couldn’t tell you who she is friends with or what this boy she has been told about in the letter is like.
All the real talking in this anime is done by the music/designs creating an atmosphere that gives the characters interactions more meaning without having to force in unnatural dialogue.
I one problem with this episode: Why did they choose such goofy music?
I was completely pulled out of the world this show had made just because someone wanted to represent high school students hanging out with county music.
