Kokoa creeps me out! Just because you make a character ditsy/cute doesn’t excuse very questionable ways of thinking/acting.
Think of it this way: Kokoa randomly meets young Chino one day and proclaims she should be addressed as big sister.
Chino is just leaving elementary school and Kokoa just started journey high. T_o If you can’t spot the problem I will spell it out: They are only separated by one year….yet! The show has designed and depicts Chino as being way too young just to make Kokoa fit the older sister roll better.
If we were to realistically look at the way Kokoa views Chino we would find that she gets a kick out of dominating and patronizing someone smaller than her.
*Moe shows can have disturbing undertones.*
The show looks well done with only the first and last episode have questionable moments (they are around 10-13 years old).
^_^ I will really miss this anime’s opening song.
*Shudder* T-o saw a hug pillow of one of the character before watching this anime. Am I the only one who just sees a creepy man/woman doing disturbing things to that pillow? *shudder* I don’t want to think about it (they should be banned).
*I’m mostly referring to the one that depict vulnerable children*
Before anyone says “it’s a cultural difference” let me bring this up: Chino is in the last year of elementary school, this means that she is ether 11 or 12 years old (The Japaneses age of consent is 13).
*Disregarding the creepy undertones* This show delivers what it promised: cute Moe girls doing cute things. These shows don’t have running plots or deep characters.
The show gives each of the characters a distinctive personality trait alongside there bight hair (which usually is the only way to distinguish them).
Part from the creepiness of the pillow there is not much to talk about with this show.
*I usually watch these shows so that I can chill out after a long week of action/story driven anime.*
can I watch this? *uk laws*
T-o I will have to keep my eye on that.
^_^ You would think crunchyroll would do the research for me (“Recently, My Sister is Unusual” is clearly on the no go list).
*p.s. I use crunchyroll.co.uk*
This anime is about a café run by some cute girls (short and sweet).
The moe in this show reaches saccharine levels of cuteness (you just want to hug them).
I’m not very sure why they have decided to call there café the “rabbit house”??? Rabbits are general really grumpy, that’s not a very good image for a cutesy café.
*Come join us in the rabbit house, where we will gladly ignore you and spit in you coffee for no extra fee.* T-O guess you could call it the rabbit hutch in the evening (the café transforms into a bar).
There was very little going on in this episode (even for a moe), I hope they find some way of filling out the air time with the upcoming episodes.
p.s. guns to the head are not cute (why is this becoming popular).
